MSRP

Definition: manufacturer suggested retail price

The short answer

MSRP is the ceiling. Recovered value is always a fraction of it.

MSRP stands for Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price. In liquidation, MSRP is a reference ceiling, not the price you can achieve on resale. Recovery rates typically range from 10% to 50% of MSRP depending on category, brand, and condition.
